Dollar Dog Visits Choice One
& The New Clubhouse!
Welcome to the March edition of Paw Prints, fellow Clubhouse friends! I have been very busy lately, and I wanted to share the excitement with you.
Last month, I paid a visit to the new Dollar Dog Clubhouse at the Choice One main office in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The Clubhouse is a cool place where kids can hang out while their parents conduct transactions at the credit union.

Choice One has decorated the Clubhouse in a really unique way! When you walk in, paw prints on the floor lead you straight to the Clubhouse. Once you're inside the Clubhouse, you'll find a toy chest full of prizes that kids can win when they trade in their Dollar Dog coins. We had lots of fun drawing on the dry erase board wall, too!

Other Fun Activities At Choice One
Choice One helps me spread the word about the Dollar Dog Kids ClubSM and raises awareness of other kid-friendly issues, including financial literacy (my personal favorite). In doing so, the credit union hosts a bunch of youth-oriented activities that are really neat.
For instance, Choice One sends Dollar Dog mailings to non-members in the community to spread the word about the program. The credit union also holds a "youth day" carnival (they're planning one right now!), collaborates with local TV stations on a "stranger danger" program, hosts games and also teaches youth classes on saving money.
When I visited Choice One, they told me about the "Money Matters" game they had recently sponsored at Wilkes University. The credit union gave out three piggy banks and taught that for every $1 earned you should save 80 cents, put 15 cents away for charity and reserve five cents for spending. Pretty cool, huh?
Spreading The Word!
When new members join Choice One, member representatives at the credit union always ask if the members have children. This provides them with leads towards the Dollar Dog program and helps the kids get in touch with me!
I'm excited to report that Choice One currently has 900 Dollar Dog members, with dollar balances reaching $1.5 million! Once kids outgrow Dollar Dog, Choice One continues the fun with a teen program called cha-ching!SM.
Where You Can Find Me
I also visit Choice One for parades, new branch openings, holiday events, and local sporting events. I have a particularly good time with the local hockey mascot, "Tux" the Penguin. Whenever he comes to a game, we'll wrestle and all the kids join in the fun!
In fact, I'm proud to say I've actually become pretty popular at Choice One - when I show up with Santa or the Easter Bunny, kids will often hang out with me first. It's a great honor!
